She is well known for her unique designs based on artisan techniques, inspired by colour blocked printing and featuring bold and graphic colours and patterns
Weaving together elements of simple Scandinavian influenced style with products that are at once handmade and modern, Lotta’s smart, organic pattern designs have earned her international acclaim. A self-taught designer, Lotta launched her company out of her small San Francisco apartment in 1996, quickly establishing a strong grassroots following. Now, she works from her studio in Brooklyn, where she dreams up creative ideas for branded lifestyle products ranging from textiles to tabletop. She has published nine lifestyle and craft books that have been translated into eight languages. Lotta is building her branded collection in her specialty and home goods channels in collaboration with her agency, Moxie & Company. Recently honored as an “Arbiter of Style” by Christies, and featured on design and lifestyle blogs and press worldwide, Lotta’s creativity continues to thrive.
